Should I Continue The Hormonal Birth Control New Pack To Skip My Period When I Have Brown Discharge?

Hi, I’m on hormonal birth control and I skipped the sugar pills and started the next pack so that way I could skip my period. I’m a week into my next pack and I started to have brown discharge, should I continue to take the pills or should I stop and let my period occur? I would like the brown discharge to go away.
