Should I See A Doctor For Persistent Penile Swelling And Irritation 12–16 Hours After Sex, Or Continue Using Sudocrem A Bit Longer?

I had sex with a woman 3 nights ago an noticed some inflammation, swelling and irritation to the foreskin and tip of my penis appear, roughly 12-16hrs afterwards. It has since persisted, my initial thoughts are balanitis so have been applying sudocrem for the past 24hrs. There hasn’t been a noticeable improvement as of yet. Should I consult further with a GP or continue for another day or so with my current treatment before seeking medical professional help?
