Should I Take Morning-after-pill After Having Sexual Intercourse?

hello. me and my boyfriend had sexual intercourse last night and the condom split. I am on the pill but i have only been taking it for 5 days now and someone told me that it takes up to a week before it becomes effective, should i take the morning after pill or am i safe?
