Should I Use Warm Compresses For A Lump On My Leg After A Fall, Or Continue With Icepacks?

Hi I have a lump on my leg after a fall which is below the knee and on the outside of the front of my leg. I had the fall nearly 6 weeks ago. Is the correct treatment to put warm compresses on it? I have been treating it with icepacks. I do keep my leg elevated and walk regularly.
