Should I Worry About Rabies. I Was Betting A Stray

Should I worry about rabies. I was betting a stray kitten late last night. It started to nip at my fingers and though it didn't break the skin I work as a mechanic and have slot of small abrasions and cuts on my fingers. Should go in to be on the safe side? I have never worried about this before growing up with a lot of stray cats as pets but this time I can't stop worrying.
