Should Arthritis Be Treated Before The Surgery For Torn ACL?

I have a torn ACL and am in need of a second surgery but I also have some bone spurs and arthritis in my knee i am having some stability issues but alot of pain as well i was told that i should have the arthritis cleaned if im having more pain issues at this point and not to wore about the ACL
