Should Birth Control Methods Be Changed As The Periods Have Not Started?

I have a question about birth control. I just started Yaz, and the last 4 pills are inactive. Today is my first day taking a white pill, and my period hasnt started yet. Should I use alternate methods of birth control, or are the hormones in my system?
