Should Emergency Contraception Be Taken After Having Unprotected Sex?

Hi Ive just started back on the Levlen ED pill (I havent been on it for 2 years) for the past 8 days now, I miss read the instructions, I thought u could have unprotected intercourse after the 7th day but in actual fact it says 14 days. Would it be wise to take a (MAP)?
