Should Tanning Be Avoided While On Birth Control Pills?

I am currently taking loestrin right now because I'm getting married in about a month and my doctor told me i needed some time to get my body used to it. I also got a gift certificate to a tanning place as the bride-to-be, but there is a sign that says not to go tanning if you are pregnant or on birth control. Does that include all birth control?
