Should The Maxidex Drop Be Continues After Prescribed Dates?

I have been told by my eye specialist to us Maxidex eye drops 4 times a day till my next visit in 4 to 6 weeks.However I have just had a letter from the hospital telling my next appointment will be 9 weeks.My question is, do I keep up the dose or do I reduce it?
