Should The Birth Control Pills Be Taken On The Day Of Menstruation?

I usually take my birth control on Thursday of every month start, but somehow I ended up now starting on Tuesday because I screwed something up..and now my periods all messed up. So on the day when I m supposed to start my month on Tuesday can I wait til Thursday to start or is it going to screw up everything?
