Should The Contraceptive Pills Be Started Immediately After Finishing The Previous Course?

Hi I lost my lack of birth control I only had one active white pill left which I was suppose to take today (Sunday ) and start te brown ones tomorrow(Monday) should I just wait till the following week to start a pack or should I start a new one right away and what will that mean regarding my period
