Should The Contraceptive Pills Be Taken Once The Periods Start?

hi i kept taking the contreceptive pill after i finished the first packet because i was going on holiday now im back home i have had my period and have started taking the tablets again i have 4 left what do i do? do i start the other packet or stop for a period
