Simple Question, After Hours Of Sun I Got Sun Burn,

Simple question, after hours of sun i got sun burn, when i look closely at my legs i see little specs of red all under the burn, looks like blood specs but of course it is not. Cannot remember this ever happening when i got burnt before/ Is this common?
