Since The Last Few Months, My Monthly Period Has Extended

Since the last few months, my monthly period has extended from 5-6 days to almost 8 days time. The proper bleeding stops at 6th day max but while checking from the inside the cotton still comes out brown or reddish indicating the process hasn't stopped even on the 8th day. I'm a healthy person otherwise with no illness or disease. Is there a problem with my period or is just a normal hormonal change?
