Does A Reactive TPHA Result And Non-reactive VDRL Mean The Syphilis Infection Is Still Present Even After Past Treatment?

Sir, I had been tested several years ago vdrl 1:4 & tpha 1:16 positive.then taken doxycycline antibiotics and one dose penicillin. But now I have been tested for vdrl(rpr) non reactive but tpha 1:80 positive..is the infection still present??? Please suggest.. Thanks in advance..
