Slipped On Frosted Stairs. Three Steps Outdoors. Caught My Fall

Slipped on frosted stairs. Three steps outdoors. Caught my fall with the railing, but lower back hurts like hell.
I'm sure nothing is broken since I never went down, but the tightness and ache in my lower back is bad. What should I do? I have been applying ice and heat.
