So I Am Taking Doxycycline And Metronidazole And It Says

So I am taking Doxycycline and Metronidazole and it says "Take 1 Tablet/Capsule by mouth 2 times daily for 7 days" but I somehow skipped over that every time I read the bottle so I only took one tablet a day and I now have 4 pills left. Should I contine to take one a day until the bottles finished or should I start taking 2? Will it affect the results I would see as if I would've taken it twice a day?
