So I Have An Infection That Hurts My Ears When

So I have an infection that hurts my ears when I swollow. I went to the doctor and he told me that the three shots for three day and antibiotics will fix that. Now here's the part that's freaking me out. I looked in my mouth and it looks like my tonsils are just ripping up and ready to fall off. Is that normal? My mom said it's just all that thdication kicking in and basically removing all the dead. Is she right? Should I worry?
