So I Just Got My Period For The First Time

So I just got my period for the first time since I have birth. I had it for a month straight than yesterday I wake up and there is nothing at all. I can't remember if I used a tampon or not. I felt up there and felt nothing. But could there still be one?? I also just started bleed again so am I just bleeding through the stick tampon? Would the color of the blood be different??
