Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So I work at a fast food place and we have to wear latex gloves while preparing food and baking. I have worked here and worn gloves for months now but the last night I was wearing latex gloves for over an hour. I'm assuming this wouldn't cause any issues for most people but my hands are constantly sweaty so my gloves get gross after a while. Anyways, I woke up with a weird rash on the palm of my hands this morning and then went into work and wore the same type of gloves for about 5 hours, changing them every hour or so or when I prepared nut products and the rash is more irritated now. Could this be a sudden latex allergy or is there a way that this is just from the moisture from my hands staying in the gloves?
