So I've Been On The Rod For A Couple Of

So I've been on the rod for a couple of months now and I recently started taking the pill alongside just to stop my period for a weekend away!
Now my boyfriend came inside me I was just wondering what would happen if I were to stop taking the pill before the packet ends... Am I still fully protected because I have the implanon? Or does stopping the pill effect this ??
