So My Husband Is Epileptic. Has Been For At Least

So My husband is epileptic. Has been for at least the 7 years I've known him. He takes lorazepam, Carbazepine, and Hydrocodone. We recently went on a trip for a funeral and he left his lorazepam at home. We went to urgent care and the emergency room to try and get a partial fill or something because we were worried about seizures. The doctor at the ER ended up giving him an intramuscular injection of Torodol because that was the best they could do according to the laws in Indiana. He was in immense pain, had to miss my grandpa's burial and it gets worse. The next day we were flying home and in the course of 12 hours he had three grand mal seizures which is extremely abnormal. He also bought nicotine gum since he smokes and you can't smoke on airplanes. His usual seizure pattern is three seizures spread out over two days with the max being two seizures a day with about 6-8 hours in-between. What do you think caused this? Was it the gum he had never had before or was it the Torodol? I just want answers. Please help with any research or knowledge you have. Thank you, Grace Siddens
