So A Couple Days Ago I Had A Really Bad

So a couple days ago I had a really bad tooth pain. This is gonna be stupid and I know I'm dumb for doing it, but anyway....I kinda hit my jaw the now for the past 6 days it has been swollen. I did go to the er and they gave me antibiotics for my tooth, but I can't open up my jaw too far and if I do it kinda locks up. First off is it possible that I dislocated my jaw. And second ( if it isn't dislocated) what can I do to ease the pain?

Could my jaw not be able to open cause it's still a little swollen? The doctor at the er looked at it and didn't say anything about it being dislocated.
