So I Had A Comminuted Clavicle Fracture 6 Months Ago,

So i had a comminuted clavicle fracture 6 months ago, treatment was non-operative and placed in a sling. Healed as a non-union so two weeks ago had a open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) done and how long do i have to remain in the sling for?
there is no discomfort only when weight is applied so is it ok to take out of the sling?
