So I Went To My First Ob Gyn Appointment Yesterday

So i went to my first ob gyn appointment yesterday and they told me i was 12 weeks and 2 days ... Okay cool but i believe at the beginning of my pregnancy i had my period (waaaaaaaay before i knew about me being pregnant) so i dont know if im more like 9 weeks and my ultrasound technician was wrong or am i just paranoid? .. Please help
