So, Today I Went To A Med-Stop For My Eye.

So, today I went to a Med-Stop for my eye. I was told that I have pink eye. Then the doctor told me that if the swelling below my eye didn't go away within 24 hours, that I should go to the ER. She said it could be something more serious. What could it be?
