Son Has Cough For Weeks. On Z-pack. Last Night Felt Nauseated, Begin Vomiting, Body Aches. Has Temperature. Urgent Care?

My 17 year old son(5'11, 180lbs) has had a cough for 3 weeks, 1 course of a z-pack ( no difference afterwards). Last night felt nauseated, begin vomiting, body aches continues today. Has temp 101.9 gave 1000mg of Tylenol temp 100.3 goes right back up when it wears off. Only able to keep down small sips of water, couple of otter pops and nausea, looks flushed, sweaty. Should he go to ER or Urgent care?

Hello,
Thank you for the query.
I advice you to go ER and have blood tests done for him as it has been already 3 weeks and no change even after using z-pack.There must be some infection and you need to rule out that.As there is vomiting also he may suffer from dehydration and fluid resuscitation may also be needed.Treatment can be correctly given once the disease is diagnosed.I also suggest to have a check x-ray for him.Thank you.
