Started About 3 Weeks Ago The Corner Of My Left

Started about 3 weeks ago the corner of my left thumb was alittle long so I cut the tip of it in about a few days my thumb started to hurt j looked at it and it looked like it had a splinter in it. It was about a 1/4 way in dont remember getting a splinter and now it hurts and it has a green tint to it from the tip to the bottom of nail on the left side. Thank you
