Starting Having Pains In My Left Leg, Shooting From Either

Starting having pains in my left leg, shooting from either behind my knee or a raised vein. Sometimes the pain goes up into my thigh or shoots down into my calf. I have a bakers cyst behind my knee from an old injury. I went to the Orthopedic today, they x-rayed my knee said the cyst is bigger but doesn't look swollen, but not sure why I have the pain. I also explained I am getting shooting pains in my left arm as well and didn't know if it could be connected. I was told no, it was probably not connected, and they want me to try PT for 3 weeks. Not sure but I'm not sure if that would help if they can't even tell me what is causing the pain? Should I consult another doctor or a vein doctor?
