Stopped Taking Metformin Bc After Two Months I Began To

Stopped taking Metformin bc after two months I began to have terrible sharp abdominal pain. It has now been 5 days since I stopped taking the drug and I think I am beginning to feel better. I went through bloody mucus, cloudy meshy looking stools, and now seem to be in the diarea stage. Is this all normal when stopping Metformin? I no longer have the sharp abdominal pains and no bloody mucus.
