Suggest A Remedy For Nail Ingrowth

Hi!
I have not followed good hygiene and have neglected cutting toe nails regularly. There is quite a lot of ingrowth with the thumbnail of my right foot. I had this problem for a long time. It all started when I first wore size 9 shoes for an extended length of time.. my actual size is 11.

I am thinking that I should get the nail removed so a fresh one will grow and I will be careful this time around. I live in Hyderabad, India and am looking for some help.
