Suggest A Remedy For Wrist Pain

I had surgery done about a year ago on my wrist. A bone grew too long and they went in and cut a piece out. they put metal plates in to hold the two bones together. I always had a bit of pain but not like tonight it hurts so much i can barely move it. What can I do to ease the pain?
