My father is 84-years-old and on Friday he will be going to Sloan Kettering in Basking Ridge, NJ to have several surgeons examine a "lump" in his throat. He has already been told that surgery is an option, HOWEVER, he has an arythma (spelling...sorry), and is also ALLERGIC to CODEINE and DEMEROL.
Are there SAFE alternatives to those 2 pain killers in light of his heart condition?
