Suggest Alternative Medication For Zorivax

I have been nursing a tube of Zorivax for cold sores for over 10 years. I went to get a new script and the cost was over $246 with insurance. Why so expensive? what is a good alternative? Without insurance, i was looking at over $800 for a little 1 oz tube. Thank you.
