Suggest An Alternative To Aranesp Injection For Treatment Of Anemia

My wife s doctor recomended using Aranesp injection for her anemia.With our drug plan the cost for 1 month is $900.00.We can not afford that.My wife and i are both retired .She is 77 and iam 80.We are on Medicare.Our RX plan has a $900.00 co-pay for that drug.Is there any other drug that doesn t cost as much and will increase red cells.
