Suggest Cure For A Cut On The Ankle That Has Never Healed

for three years i've had a cut on my ankle that just never healed, and the doctors ust don't seem to know what's wrong with me. i don't have diabetes, and they're telling me it's a venous ulcer now, what should i do? i've stopped going to the doctors completely since they only give me gauze and bandages, and tell me to clean the wound with warm salt water. it really hurts.
