Suggest Cure For Infection In The Ears

Hello. My question is that I've had ear irritation for something like 8 months now and it mostly itches and is a constant bother and for about 4 months or so my throat has been bothering me. It's red on the sides. It doesn't hurt while swallowing it just sometimes has these subtle pulsing pains and other times it itches a bit. I went to the doctor and he just agreed it was red and prescribed antibiotics. All he ever does is prescribe antibiotics for everything. You got anything for me?
