Suggest Cure For Itchy Dandruff On Head

I seem to have danddruff...i've never really had it before but it's extremely itching and nothing seems to be helping. I have used Head and Shoulders for 2 weeks and moved onto Neutrogena T-Gel, which relives the itching for about a day then it returns. Should I just continue with this treatment or actually go in to see a doctor?
