Suggest Cure For Pain In The Ears And Swollen Cheeks

My niece of 9 has just (28th Oct)had her adenoids and canals operated on and her tonsils removed, she is currently in alot of pain with her ears being very sore, and there is no discharge from her nose, when you look up her nose she has white bits in them, not sure if this is supposed to be there, her cheeks are also swelling slightly
