Suggest Cure For Soreness In The Throat

I have a sore that resembles a canker sore on the side of my throat, back near my tonsils. It is somewhat painful, although not terrible. I also have a significant amount of post-nasal drip, so I believe the two are linked, but I am not sure what the cause/treatments could be.
