Yesterday afternoon, while eating potato chips, I had a sensation like I swallowed “wrong” and scraped the back, left side of my throat. The pain remained with me, but by night became painful to swallow in both my left side throat and the left side of my tongue. I woke up this morning with throat and tongue pains, a slight plugged feeling in my ears and sweating (but no fever, 97.9). No other symptoms—no dray mouth or throat, nor scratchy throat. The pain has made it hard to sleep, and with a baby one week old, I’m not sure how careful to be around her.
