Suggest Diet Plan To Be Followed By A Person Having Crohn S Disease

I have friends whose granddaughter has Crohn s disease which is giving her great pain at this time. They have asked whether her doctor has suggested any particular diet to eat or avoid to help her heal. Her doctors have made no such suggestions. As a person totally involved in a healthful way of eating I was really surprised at this lack of concern her doctor seems to be showing. What is your opinion about the possibility of planning a diet specifically for a Crohn s patient? Unfortunately she is in her early 20 s and peer pressure may make it difficult for her to change but without the help and assistance of her own physician she will never realize the importance of diet to her health and wellbeing.
