Suggest Digestive Enzymes That Can Be Taken After A Bowel Operation

My son in law had a twisted bowel op about a year ago and has been fine until now he was in hospital with a lot of pain they did all tests but found nothing and is back home. He is feeling a little better and they suggested no exercise for a month and take it careful as he is a active young male. He is lactose intolerant and I was wondering as they don t know what to do could he take digestive enzymes ?
