Suggest Effect Of Lung Cancer Towards Skin Abrasions

My father has IIIb lung cancer which he has chosen not to treat. He is finding that only a slight bump to the hand can cause an abrasion which bleeds heavily. He scraped his ear and the same thing. With the cancer in the lymph system, how does this effect the dermis?
