Suggest Home Remedy For Popped Blood Vessel In Throat During Pregnancy

Hey My girlfriend is 4 months pregnant and she says a blood vessel popped in her throat and it hurts pretty bad. This happened recently about 2 months ago, she went to the ER and they gave her medication, she said the term they described her popped blood vessel started with the letter B. My question is, is there anything at home she can do to soothe the pain or should we just take another trip to the hospital for attention?
