Suggest Home Remedy For Swelling In Ear Lobe

Hi, I had a mild cold over the weekend, but there was definitely some normal drainage. I have not worn earrings all last week and only wear gold or silver because of sensitive skin. I woke up this morning and my left earlobe was swollen 3 times it s normal size. It s also painful, red on the front and there s a large purplish spot on the back. How do I treat this at home, or do I need to see a doctor?
