Suggest Medication Blood Bruise On Cheeks Which Looks Like Insect Bite

My 4 year old daughter was outside helping us water our garden, when suddenly she had blood dripping from a few areas on her face. When I wiped it off, I noticed bite marks that looked like small hickeys or tiny concentrated blood bruises, nothing raised or welt-like or anything remotely like a mosquito bite. Three days later she still has them, but still no swelling or any other symptoms, they look the same. What kind of insect bites does this?
