Suggest Medication For Dry Cough Due To Respiratory Infection

I have been sick since Christmas, it began as a cold but after a week it still wasn't better so I went to the doctor. Dr said I had a bacterial respiratory infection. I took a Z pack then about a week after starting the Z pack I finally felt much better, still a dry cough but not achy. Then a couple days passed and the cough became much worse, at this point I'm coughing so hard at times it causes me to feel like I'm going to throw up. Now my ear feels a little achy... perhaps just from coughing so hard. I've taken Delsym, Mucinex DM, Claritin, a tea called Throat Coat. . Cough drops but nothing really seems to work.
