Suggest Medication For High Fever

My daughter is having 104 fever at the moment I have given meftal-p 10 mins back.... One hour before her temp was 100.9 when I gave ibugesic but it didn't come down so gave meftal-p. is it correct?
To give back ground she is having fever n cold from Sunday night n doctor said viral and prescribed to give maxtra plus n ibugesic for temp > 100. When fever didn't go completely we showed to doctor today he mentioned its follicular tonsillitis and gave antibiotic advent and deplodine 30 which I gave her in the evening. After sometime the temp suddenly rose and reached 104.2 now.
